East West Theater in LA has done an interesting version of M. Butterfly (see below). As you can see, the actor playing Song plays "her" as a less girly woman, and the actor playing Gallimard looks a little like Dustin Hoffman as Willy Loman.

I visited the grave of ARthur Miller in Connecticut...a friend is buried
nearby...Saw the movie...many times..it always is reminding me of
my Uncle who was a paint salesman and of the bad boyfriends I once
knew long ago in the sixties...Most of all though it is reminding me of
my Uncle Al who is now 101 years old....
