You tube by John Burkhalter at Pennsylvania Univ. is the most revealing of the two sciences... the ethnomusicology as well as the art of the Mayan musical composers and instrument makers...
There are other enticing youtubes that include the clapping sound..I believe I looked up under the music and how the instruments and music of the Mayans was created.
